![]() ![]() I think you can upgrade to hall effect gimbals which might be good as the resistive ones do wear out. If you have no issues with your tx I would stick with it but download the D8 and D16 fw for every receiver you might buy so when they stop the links it doesn't matter. Especially when they use Open Source FW that, while they might have contributed to they can't say who can and can't use the software. I don't think FrSky were wrong in trying to protect their business by effectively trying to stop 3rd party rx but what was wrong was them telling retailers they can't sell FrSky and other (Jumper etc). I can't understand why FrSky didn't include the FCC/EU lua script by default. ![]() Having multiple protocols is bad enough but adding in EU-LBT and FCC to the mix just gets silly. ![]() I read somewhere a while ago that the encryption on ACCESS has already been broken so 3rd party rx will, if not already, be available! ACCESS2 on the other hand is more of an issue, no idea why FrSky brought out ACCESS2 it's just to confuse things even more. If not then ACCESS is not an issue really. To me the issue with ACCESS depends on if you have lots of older rx and if you have stuff with spi rx. I was thinking of getting a new FrSky Tx this year, but the debarcle with ACCESS put me off.
